With a view to raising awareness among people so that everyone, everywhere, at all times are entitled to their human rights., the International Federation of Medical Students Associations (IFMSA) Bangladesh, a medical students body observed The World Human Rights Day on Tuesday.
With the theme,”Youth standing up for human rights”, students of Mymensingh Medical College, Chattogram Medical College, Green Life Medical College, Dhaka National Medical College, Z.H. Sikdar Medical College, Holy Family Red Crescent Medical College, Sheikh Sayera Khatun Medical College, Popular Medical College, Sher E Bangla Medical College, Mugda Medical College went to different schools and public places and spreaded the United Nations’ declared 30 universal human rights & ran awareness campaign. Doctors of different medical colleges also participated in the event. They praised the organizers for organizing such event and
said similar events need to be arranged more frequently to make people aware of their rights.
On behalf of the organisers, The National Officer on Human Rights and Peace Sharif Alvee Ahsan said their goal is to make the people aware of their human rights.
Several posters were made by the orgaband earlier & the med students formed a human chain.
